Where to Swim in Singapore: Hotel Pools, Beaches and Public Complexes

Decide whether you want laps, a family outing or a poolside afternoon before choosing where to swim. A hotel terrace, leisure complex and beach club solve different problems, and each has its own entry terms.

Marina Bay Sands: book the stay if the swim matters

The official infinity-pool policy reserves access for hotel guests. Buying observation-deck admission or a restaurant meal does not include swimming.

If the pool is the reason for the stay, confirm how the booking covers every person in your group. If you only want a skyline view, compare an observation-deck or rooftop-bar visit instead.

Other hotel pools

The Fullerton Bay Hotel offers a rooftop pool setting; PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering and Capella Singapore are other hotel options to compare as part of a stay. Check each hotel's pool policy for your room booking and any children travelling with you.

Hotel photographs help with the setting, but do not establish whether outside guests are admitted. For a day pass, obtain current confirmation of swim access, hours, guest numbers, towels and any required food spend before travelling across town.

Beach clubs on Sentosa

A beach-club reservation can suit a lunch and poolside afternoon. Check the venue's seating rules and whether its pool is included in your booking. An advertised minimum spend is a payment commitment, not free admission.

Swimming in the sea

Sentosa permits swimming in designated areas. Its Siloso Beach guidance directs visitors to the red-and-yellow flag area and advises on beach hazards. Follow signs and beach-patrol instructions on the day.

Keep a beach outing flexible if conditions change. A hotel pool may be a useful alternative, but it needs its own access arrangement.

Public swimming complexes

Use ActiveSG's facility directory to choose a complex and check available pools, opening hours and maintenance closures. Confirm specific leisure features; a listing for a complex does not guarantee every slide or water-play area is operating.

ActiveSG's visitor guidance says tourists without Singpass can purchase single-entry passes at pools and gyms. They cannot use the same booking and programme registration process as Singpass users. Check the entry arrangement and applicable visitor rate before leaving your hotel.
